Do you believe in love at first sight and feel it will stay with us for good? This case is applied to design. When you see a product with well-designed packaging, you suddenly fall in love with it and feel like using it right away.

SCGP proudly presents the Design Talks 2018 to turbocharge the learning and experience in the packaging design world for designers and the general public. This event had been held 4 consecutive times. This time, the key speaker is Ms. Pum Lefebure, an unparalleled Thai designer. She co-founded the well-known Design Army in Washington D.C. Part of her glorious works for world-class brands encompasses Academy Awards, Adobe, GE, and Disney. She was awarded a Rising Star by Washington Business Journal and named one of Adweek's Creative 100 in 2016. She willingly shares her thoughts and design processes behind the success of many brands. Her talk is based on personal perspective and experience.

"I am not a Designer. I am a Seducer" is her new and exciting definition of the designer career. She invites people to come up with an idea to convince audiences to fall in love with a brand or a product in an era where beauty is not the only solution. Young designers must think and plan to take the challenge on hand charming. Aside from creating the unrivaled feature of the work, charm can take the designers' values to a new bar.

At Design Army, the three long-running elements of how to design work included "Flirt," "Romance," and "Seduce." Pum analogizes this concept to stages of dating. The first stage is to look for a target, research areas of interest, and find a way to approach. Secondly, properly introduce ourselves and put a spell on that person with an unbelievable charm. With these, the target's interest in you would grow, and he or she would eventually fall in love with you.

Ms. Pum shared a reflection with younger designers. She says, "In an effective design to meet with the brand's requirement, what's beyond the beauty ranges from an attitude and an understanding of a respective business to an expression of feeling through your own heart so that clients can experience and fall in love with the product through a visual engagement. This will make them stand ready for change. What's more, regardless of your career field, find your true interest and take yourself to a stage where you can show what you have got to people".
