According to a survey, one of the most common daily routines among seniors in Thailand is drinking tea. Since a large number of Thai ancestors originate from mainland China, they brought tea-drinking culture along with them to Thailand and made it a habit for people at the time, who are the eseniors of today. However, tea packaging poses many obstacles to the seniors such as the hard-to-peel-open tea bag envelope, the tea bag canister that requires immense strength to open, the illegible labels, and so on. Thus, our group has thought of a new way to solve this problem. We present to you, the herbal tea packaging made for seriors, “Chaiyaban”.

The name "Chaiyaban" means 'the drink of victory' in Thai, a wordplay of the spelling of 'Chai' meaning tea, and 'ban' as the verb for flower blooming. It is a trick of our tea bag envelopes that will bloom and spread fragrant when opened, giving off the feeling of being in the flower field. The fragrant that the teas give off will be herbal flowers that have properties that benefit seniors, for instance, help relax, detoxify the body, etc.
