Packaging of sanitary pads in boxes
1. Business environment analysis
Currently, there are many types of sanitary pads being produced, including pads, tampons, cups, and pants. Pads with wings/without wings, day/night are still the most popular type of sanitary pads among consumers today, more than tampons and cups because they are easy and convenient to use. They also meet the needs of consumers more than other types. Currently, various technologies are being used to increase production efficiency and improve product quality, including many new product types, such as cooling sanitary pads, odor-reducing or scented sanitary pads, etc. Sanitary pads are still consumer goods that every woman needs to use. However, there is still a weakness in that there are many brands of sanitary pads on the market, so it may be necessary to create a highlight for the brand.
2. Setting goals for brand development
To develop brand packaging that can be reused, reduce waste, use materials that are naturally biodegradable, are cute, beautiful, and appealing to female customers, and are memorable to customers. The packaging can be used according to needs.
3. Determining target customers and details of target group insights
The focus will be on customers aged between 13 and 45 years, which is a target group that is interested in both the benefits and packaging of each type of product. At this age, it is time to start giving importance to beautiful and attractive external packaging. In some aspects, there may be an opinion that sanitary pads are things that cannot be held openly. Therefore, sanitary pads with an external appearance that can be carried anywhere and are more convenient to use have been invented. 4. Packaging design for society and the environment of the brand and the products presented
The external packaging is designed to be beautiful, and cute, and can be carried anywhere. The wrapping area has a round edge to make it easy to unwrap and use. It is made from bamboo pulp or wood pulp so that it can decompose faster than using synthetic plastic.
The external packaging is designed as a box made from corrugated paper because it is strong, lightweight, environmentally friendly, and naturally biodegradable. It is made on 2 sides. The side is made transparent to see the contents inside whether the sanitary pads are running out or not. The other side is made to be a slot for garbage. The brand will give away garbage bags. The opening side is divided into 2 separate sides. When the sanitary pads run out, they can be refilled. The box is designed with beautiful patterns. Cute, there may be a variety of package designs to choose from for consumers. During festivals, there are creative designs for each festival and there is space for writing according to the needs of consumers so that the box can be reused in the future. In addition to putting sanitary pads, it can be adapted to put other things.
5. Marketing activities and brand development through packaging
There is a campaign through social media by taking photos of creative and innovative reuse of packaging with # to win a health check-up package and many other prizes. There will be development of packaging in various forms to make it more convenient to carry, such as packaging in the form of a portable tube that can be opened on both sides. On one side, there are sanitary pads and on the other side, there is a garbage bag with clear divisions.
