Salted egg packaging by Kru Pol Since the movie "Little Things Called Love" is quite popular abroad and in Thailand, there is a scene where Kru Pol brings a souvenir from Surat Thani, which is salted eggs, packed in a cardboard box, which uses a lot of paper and other materials that can reduce impact, and the packaging does not communicate much about the product inside. The production group therefore saw that we could develop salted egg packaging to be unique, memorable, and attractive. Therefore, the packaging was designed to be in line with the concept. - Reduce usage: The packaging is shaped like a mesh basket, which uses less paper than the original salted egg cardboard box. - Recycle: The paper used is bagasse paper, which is a paper material made from agricultural waste. Therefore, it has been processed to have quality similar to the original material. - Reuse: The outer paper is pierced to be shaped like a basket that is flexible and can support weight. It can be used to put other things such as vegetables or fruits in addition to eggs. The inner round box can be used to put household items or decorate the house. Our group considered the following factors: 1. Business environmental analysis. The original salted egg cardboard box had a high production cost and used a lot of paper to form a box. Designing it as a mesh will help reduce paper usage and production costs. 2. Setting goals for brand development Want the packaging to be unique, able to elevate the salted eggs to be memorable and attract people to be interested in the product, reduce unnecessary paper use and reduce waste from agricultural waste. 3. Defining the target customer group and details of the target group's insight Since the product is a provincial souvenir, the target customer group is adults. 4. Designing packaging for the society and the environment of the brand and the presented product. The original salted egg packaging was a paper box and shockproof material that used more paper than necessary, resulting in high production costs. Therefore, our group designed packaging that used less paper to reduce paper use and production costs. In addition, the paper is made from agricultural waste. 5. Marketing activities and brand development through packaging are promoted through interesting souvenir Facebook groups and have contact channels via Facebook pages, Line. 6.
