Business environment analysis

Based on the research from the Srinakharinwirot university on consumer behavior towards vitamin supplements, it was found that women in working age (between 15- 24 years old) are more likely to consume vitamin supplements than males because they want to take care of their physical health and beauty. Most of the sample group has the cost of buying vitamin supplements in the amount of 1,156.07 baht and the purchase amount of 3 times in 6 months, which has a benefit  on the dietary supplement packaging that the we have designed. Which is designed for consumers to be used as a jewelry storage box that is practical and durable. Inside there is a rail for hanging dietary supplements packs. In 1 box, there will contain a set of 21 dietary supplements packs for early female adults (based on the Theory of  Dr. Maxwell Maltz that says "It takes 21 days to form or break a habit” ) When consumers consume all the supplements, they will be able to hang jewelry such as bracelets or necklaces on the rail. For the packaging, supplements pack are made from Food grade paper, which is divided into 2 parts. The top is a lucky bag that contains bracelets and a charm pendant for collection. The bottom side of the packs will be coated with another layer of biofilm to prevent moisture. Which can be made into note paper, adapt to the concept of Zero Waste which is to find a way to reduce waste to zero or reduce the amount of waste per person to the minimum as possible.

SWOT Analysis

Strengths

1. The packaging is strong, durable and practical for a long time.

2. Packaging can be used in all parts. Whether it's a paper envelope for vitamins that is used as a note paper and a clear acrylic box that when taking vitamins, it can be used to store jewelry. It is considered to help reduce the problem of waste generation to meet the trend of eco-friendly packaging in the modern era, which has recently increased.

3. Packaging developers have knowledge and skills in food technology. Which can design packaging for vitamins that are safe for consumers and can maintain a shelf life equivalent to packaging in the form of bottles or foil sachets.

4. The design is novel. Unlike the packaging of complementary products available in the market, it is suitable for both buying and eating or as a gift on a special occasion.

5. There is a marketing approach to attract consumers. By creating vitamins each day, there will be a charm pendant for random bracelets. (The first envelope on the 1st day of eating will be a free empty bracelet. The following days will be a charm for stringing with bracelets) is a charity for consumers who want to take vitamins every day.

6. For vitamin products in each envelope, it will be set to be suitable for female consumers in the working age period. To increase the convenience of eating without having to buy many separate vitamins which are expensive.

Weaknesses

1.The developer has no knowledge and skills in marketing, including business plans.

2.Developers do not have capital and knowledge in packaging development.

3. Vitamin packaging in the form of hanging envelopes in acrylic boxes is a new product that is not yet known and reaches many consumers.

Opportunities

1. In the current market, there is no dietary supplement brand that designs packaging that can be reused, such as in the form of foil bags with plastic components that cannot be recycled.

2. Nowadays customers tend to pay more attention to health care and beauty. By arranging a vitamin set, it will increase the convenience of eating for consumers.

3. Nowadays consumers tend to pay attention to the trend of environmental conservation packaging. and sustainability Which this vitamin packaging can meet the needs It is designed as a jewelry hanging box that can be reused many times and is durable.

4. Packaging in the form of a jewelry storage box with random bracelets and charm pendants is a memorable addition to the product and brand. It is also an attraction for customers' purchases.

Threats

1. Economic imbalances that may affect consumers' purchasing power and business growths

 2. Resource constraints that affect brand growth

3. In the market, there are many brands of dietary supplements, which is difficult for brands to share the market.
