DESIGN IDEAS

Product experience

Restrict

  1. When eating pre-roasted nuts (sunflower, pumpkin seeds, melon seeds) people must use their teeth to separate the shells to eat the inner core. So when finished eating, often throw a lot of product shells out (shells of seeds)
  2. Sunflower seeds are susceptible to softening if not tightly wrapped. This causes discomfort when enjoying the seeds.
  3. This is a product that contains a lot of calories, so if you eat a lot, you will get hot in your body.

Surmount

  1. The packaging design is designed to add space to store the seed shell, or add a level of packaging to contain the seed shell waste.
  2. Add a Sticker section to stick the mouth of the bag when the product inside has not been used up, bringing high efficiency when preserving the product.
  3. Classify products into volumes depending on different needs. Including the type to use snacks alone with a small capacity and the large capacity to open a party or eat with a group of friends.

Design goal

Overcoming product limitations: Decentralize products into 2 types, 40g and 130g, so that customers can easily choose according to their needs.

  1. The 40g pack is suitable for eating one person. There is a design that splits into 1 compartment for the shell and a compartment for the seeds that is convenient to eat and discard the shell.
  2. The 130g pack is suitable for groups of 3-4 people. Includes an outer paper box that is used to store seed shells, a seed tray and a paper bag with a sticker to seal the mouth of the bag.
  3. The graphics system must be designed in a modern, sophisticated, friendly and attractive manner.
  4. Simple design, feels neat and safe
  5. The information content on the packaging is easy to read and clear.
  6. Table of ingredients, nutritional information, production date, expiry date must be presented neatly and completely.
  7. Use environmentally friendly materials.

Concept

A design revolving around 'sunflower seeds', exploiting the shape, properties, and uses of sunflower seeds and the concept of "TÁCH TÁCH'' was born. ''TÁCH TÁCH'' is a word that has both the meaning of the image and the carrying it. meaning of sound and it is closely related to the actions of eating sunflower seeds. Like ''TÁCH''-OPEN the seed shell to eat the kernel inside. “TÁCH TÁCH” is also the sound when biting into the seed. ''TÁCH TÁCH'' is also the opening, opening of packages, opening seeds, also the beginning of discovery, the beginning of the search with the destination as a result, a reward.

MATERIA

PACK 40G

  1. The outer packaging uses Eco-Heim 250 GSM paper for a sturdy package but still shows the rusticity because the paper contains textures from tree debris.
  2. This packaging is not lamination to keep the outside environment friendly.

PACK 130G

  1. Level 2 packaging is used Recyco (100% recycle)-350gsm paper for printing. This is 100% recycled paper, which is ecologically sustainable. The packaging is laminated with a translucent film so that it can be used many times as a tray.
  2. The inner tray is also printed with Recyco paper but with a lower weight of 250gsm.
  3. The inner paper bag is used Eco-Heim-120gsm paper for printing on the packaging, this paper bag is filmed to better preserve the sunflower seeds, and is equipped with a removable sticker to have The best way to preserve products.

PACKAGING STRUCTURE

Extract all the elements of sunflower seeds from :

Shape: the shape of the bead will be the shape of the packaging

Properties: seeds include 2 parts shell and kernel, packaging design in the style that this is a protective shell, the inner kernel is a sunflower seed, in a 130g package, there is a secondary packaging outside to take the shape of the seed. sunflower with the opening style to change the packaging like the way I separate the seeds to eat, the inside is equipped with a tray shaped like the outer packaging to represent the kernel inside.

PACKAGING DETAILS

HOW TO USE ?

PACK 40g

  1. Tear off the seal of the package according to the pre-reinforced part.
  2. Split the packaging into 2 parts one part to hold the product and the other to contain the case
  3. Enjoy the seeds, place the shell into the rest of the packaging
  4. When finished tearing the remaining Seal to completely separate the packaging into 2 parts, it can be put together to throw it neatly, or the shell can be poured into the package of the remaining product if it is leftover.

PACK 130g

  1. Open the box by splitting the product or opening it to the Seal at the top of the box.
  2. Tear off the inner seed bag in the indicated direction.
  3. Pour the used seeds into the included tray to get more space to use the product.

  5. If it is leftover, fold the mouth of the bag then take the sticker that is glued on the front of the front bag to re-glue the mouth of the bag, for the purpose of better preserving the product.

HOW TO RECYCLE ?

EASY TO RECYCLE

  1. Outer packaging is used as a container and preservation of sunflower seeds, now also becoming a container for waste from roasted seed products. And turning the packaging from containing products to waste containers is extremely simple with the operation of "splitting" the packaging (opening the packaging). This brings convenience easily and practically from the first step when using the product.

UPCYCLE

  1. Because of using coated paper, the secondary packaging and the tray of the 130g not only contains shells or seeds but also used as a food tray for outdoor parties, small parties, or just for dividing and not having junk food when watching movies.

PRACTICALITY

With the change in packaging design, the new packaging brings visual improvements (or changes in the graphics system) and increases the product experience (changes in product design). The new packaging fully meets the requirements for product preservation, overcomes the limitations of the product, is easy to use and easy to recycle. Packaging improvements contribute to the success of product marketing.

Packaging improvements also bring economic benefits:

  1. Packaging 40g is easily processed with simple folding, using environmentally friendly materials. Packaging has only 1 level = reduce product cost.
  2. Packaging type 130g has a rather complicated design, there are many components in the package, but it is also easy to fold and process the packaging = the product cost does not decrease, but the improvement of the packaging brings high benefits. in the marketing of products, increasing competitiveness compared to products in the industry.
