PIA CAKE UNIVERSITY

Durian pia cake (thousand-layer cake) is a Soc Trang province, Vietnam specialty. In fact, the packaging has not been invested in, making it difficult to distinguish it from other types of cakes. The designer carried out the project to create a breakthrough packaging in terms of form, structure and especially extending the life of the packaging.

Texture idea: Based on the actual image of a durian fruit with a thorny skin but a sweet aroma and taste. The packaging also has a thorny appearance but the inside contains delicious cakes. These are durian cakes preserved in durian fruit (natural origin).

Packaging structure includes:

- 1 large, foldable packaging box.

- 4 small packages shaped like pointed triangular pyramids, were inserted around the large box (reminiscent of durian thorns).

- Pia cake is stored in cones, each cone contains 1 pia cake.

GRAPHIC DESIGN IDEAS: The target audience of the product is children and parents who buy the product. So in addition to the delicious taste of the product, the designer came up with the idea of creating a game that integrates knowledge about the planets in the solar system, so that parents can use it to play with their children and at the same time teach them about the solar system. The game is inspired by the spinning top game, which is also a childhood game for many Vietnamese children.

IMAGE:

- The planets in the solar system are presented in a fun way with many colors and expressive nuances, suitable for children.

- The planets are arranged in order from near to far from the sun from top to bottom.

-Each box has 2 planets, and 2 planet cards

- Each planet card has 2 sides:

+ The front has illustrations, Vietnamese and English names of the planet.

+ The back includes some basic information about that planet.
