Coming to the SCGP Packaging Design Challenge Vietnam 2023 design competition, first of all, our DD&L team would like to send a respectful greeting to the contest organizers. Our group consists of three members, namely Luong Tri Dung, Kieu Hong Duong and Nguyen Thi Truc Linh, which is also the reason why we decided to name it DD&L as a simple reminder of the number of members as well as the number of members. as the name of each member of the group. We are currently second-year students of the Department of Printing and Communications, majoring in Printing Technology at Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. As students majoring in Printing, we always want to improve and learn new things related to fields in the industry and for that reason and our inherent passion, we decided to do this second lesson to Submit to the contest.

Originally, we at DD&L said this was our second assignment because we had previously submitted a packaging design for a granola product called GRAHOME to the contest. And the second product we are working on is a cosmetic box with the brand name SORA. As everyone knows, current beauty trends are increasingly popular and reach many different audiences, especially the cosmetic beauty industry. Currently, in Vietnam as well as foreign markets there are many different types of cosmetics, but almost any type of cosmetic when brought to market and promoted will bring a large number of customers. significantly. And we at DD&L also develop products based on that trend and decided to use the name SORA, consisting of only two words "SORA", not only because it is short and easy to remember, but according to research, SORA in Japanese is means "sky" and "paradise", here we want to use the criteria of clear, pure beauty like the sky to develop the product. Besides, the accompanying slogan "Be you. Do you. For you” also contributes to spreading the message we want to send to customers. The meaning behind our "advice" includes many different aspects, but specifically we hope that you will live as yourself, get out of the shell of inferiority, and live for yourself. yourself without paying attention to the negative words outside. Let SORA add the melodious notes to the love song of your life.

Products from SORA when delivered to customers will include a cosmetic box and the outside will be contained in a paper bag with a handle. Regarding materials, from the paper bag to the box inside the product will be made entirely of paper, the box will be mainly Duplex paper - a common type of paper with a certain thickness, also known as regular cardboard. has two or more layers. With the criteria of being environmentally friendly and minimizing plastic waste, choosing this paper material is a great choice. Besides, based on the trend that today's youth often have a preference for products made of paper that are simple and luxurious, we have a preference for this type of material. In terms of color, the product packaging from the box and outer paper bag will be dark blue as the main color, both luxurious and outstanding. Research also shows that blue is also the color that refracts the eyes, helping to increase the depth and breadth of vision when looking at blue objects or scenes, so we choose the color blue. This dark blue is the main color for the product to ensure it attracts customers' attention. The pattern on the outside of the box is also extremely simple, consisting only of blue roses along with the product name. We chose blue roses, partly because it harmonizes with the main color of the product, partly because of the meaning of this flower. Accordingly, the most prominent meaning of blue roses is to symbolize true and unconditional love, mystery and special attraction, as well as representing love and honoring the beauty that SORA as well as DD&L aim. Once completed, the product will be completely processed to make it more outstanding. The blue rose motifs on the outside will be embossed, affirming elegance and luxury without being too fussy. The product name and slogan will be placed in the center of the box and using an enhanced UV coating effect, this coating will help the text have an additional tactile effect because the coating positions are enhanced. to add a layer of feeling, besides making the content more prominent and attractive.

Beside the eye-catching appearance, the product's convenience and intelligence are also very special. Knowing the psychology of users, when buying products, especially beauty products, users often put them on shelves and on cosmetic tables, which are both easy to pick up and ensure aesthetics and neatness, we have developed Expand this paper box packaging and integrate it into a shelf. The product will include a paper bag with the color, pattern and full product name to hold the product when purchased. The paper packaging surrounding the box also has a similar design to the outer paper bag packaging. and the box has a sliding lid inside that can store products and arrange them into shelves. When opening the box, the user takes the box out of the packaging then slides the two ends of the paper box to the sides, then the box will be opened and you can see the product inside. At that sliding part, when sliding to an angle of 90 degrees compared to the horizontal, the lid on both sides will be built into a small shelf used as a cosmetic shelf. In addition to the use of storing cosmetics, users can also use the same for other products. The paper bag that comes with the purchase can also be reused, making it convenient to carry, making the product more luxurious and suitable for giving as a gift.

Human beauty is infinite and everyone has the right to be beautiful, no specific standards can evaluate that beauty. Along with the criteria of loving yourself and honoring true beauty, DD&L wishes to bring SORA closer to modern beauty trends. The beauty market will always grow, SORA always puts convenience and aesthetics first, along with convenience when integrating beauty steps and in using product packaging. DD&L hopes, in the future, this form of integrated packaging will increasingly develop, ensuring both environmental safety and convenience, reaching closer to young people, and contributing to the transformation of the packaging market in Vietnam.
