To the countryside where I rise and realize

Our team, The Present, brings to the SCGP Packaging Speak Out 2023 contest a packaging imbued with Vietnamese spirit called Green Rice. The new packaging is like a breath of fresh air blowing into the old appearance of Com cake, bringing a look that is both nostalgic and modern with the mission of spreading the country's traditional values closer to today's people.

In general, the main color scheme that The Present team uses is green with a little bit of red and orange, which seems to capture the simplicity and peace of the Vietnamese countryside. In addition, the main design on the packaging depicts the beautiful labor of Vietnamese farmers amid the vast countryside, thereby promoting the importance of agriculture and the traditional value of the country. Therefore, this product aims to help Com cakes get closer to both domestic and international consumer markets.

The packaging consists of two main parts. First, the large box, with a size of 20x20x7cm (width x length x height), serves as the main attraction for the product with the theme design printed on. The other sides will have simple drawings of rice. Our team also designed a handle on the top of the box to make it more convenient for customers to grab or move around. Second, inside the big box there are four small spaces where small square boxes are kept. These small square boxes, with a size of 9x9x6cm, are the main packaging for Com cakes. The design on the four small boxes is divided into two directions, of which two boxes will carry images extracted from the overall design and the remaining two boxes will be drawn with a small rice grain-shaped space to clearly see the cake. Note that a square box will hold 2 cakes. Furthermore, the main component of the packaging is made of paper, which is environmentally friendly and can even be reused or recycled.

The Present can be understood as a gift or also understood as the present, this very moment. With Green Rice packaging, The Present hopes to bring the most wonderful gifts, gifts from Vietnamese values, to the present moment.

Inspired by the image of traditional window frames with classic iron bars, the packaging design of Cosy Marie - Kinh Do not only evokes Vietnamese architecture but also opens up a space of memories and emotions, where each door welcomes the early spring sunshine.

Complete packaging for Barona sauce pack

The Barona sauce pack is designed with a fresh, vibrant interface that highlights the image of fresh vegetables and uses bright colors like red and orange to evoke appetite at first glance. The compact, convenient packaging is easy to carry, featuring a resealable cap for reuse. Product information is clearly displayed and easy to read, emphasizing the product’s natural ingredients and quick preparation. The eco-friendly packaging material ensures that customers not only trust the sauce’s quality but also contribute to environmental protection.

This mooncake packaging is delicately designed with images of 4 flowers and 4 fish, symbolizing abundance and prosperity, family unity. Flowers, including apricot blossoms, lotus flowers, chrysanthemums, peach blossoms, symbolize luck and happiness in life. The image of 4 fish in a school resembles a warm family image during the Mid-Autumn Festival.

OREO "TET STORY"

Oreo's "Tet Story" packaging design recreates traditional moments during the Tet holiday, from wrapping bánh chưng (sticky rice cake) and cleaning the house to family reunions and giving lucky money. Each panel on the packaging tells a familiar story, creating a connection between consumers and Vietnamese Tet culture. Using traditional colors and iconic patterns, the packaging is not only visually appealing but also reusable as a gift box for . Oreo becomes a cultural bridge, bringing an interactive and sharing experience between generations.
