Barona’s mission is to become a companion and a trusted assistant for Vietnamese homemakers. When we think of the phrase “the homemaker’s companion,” we immediately associate it with the traditional shopping basket - a true companion for the traditional homemaker on their morning trips to gather ingredients for hearty, delicious family meals. Inspired by the traditional shopping basket and in honor of the homemakers who always prepare delicious meals for their families on both regular days and during the Tet holiday, the “Xuan Vien” gift set, meaning “A Fulfilling Spring” or “A Spring of Abundance”, serves as both a gesture of gratitude and a wish for families to have a joyful, prosperous Tet and a new year filled with abundance and happiness.

The gift box is designed with a dominant red color, and its shape is modeled after the traditional shopping basket. The lines on the box are stylized to resemble woven bamboo patterns from the shopping basket, and gold accents are used to add a touch of elegance, making it suitable as a Tet gift. At the center of the box, a paper-cut design in the shape of a shopping basket is featured, with intricate patterns of various ingredients inside, arranged in a way that fills the basket, symbolizing a wish for customers to have a year filled with warmth, abundance, and happiness. “Xuan Vien - the name of the gift set - is placed at the center of the paper-cut design, embossed in gold to stand out and add a sense of modernity and luxury to the gift box.

Inside the box, there are compartments neatly arranged for complete seasoning packs, broth packs, and Vi Xua fish sauce, all placed symmetrically to maximize space efficiency, minimize production resources, and create a balanced overall weight for the gift box. This also brings a sense of harmony and neatness, resembling a mini kitchen for the homemaker within this gift box.

The complete seasoning and broth packs are rebranded with first-tier packaging, following the same shopping basket concept. The main ingredients for each dish are arranged to create a negative space in the shape of a shopping basket. The images are designed in a flat illustration style with bright colors, giving the first-tier packaging a fresh feel and creating uniformity across the various packages.

The “Vi Xua” fish sauce bottle has also been redesigned with a new label, though it does not follow the shopping basket theme. Instead, it draws inspiration from old signage from past eras in Vietnam. The arrangement of the text, the effects used, and the texture applied give the new label a more modern look, while still evoking a sense of nostalgia for the past, true to the name “Vi Xua” (Old Flavor). This blend of traditional and modern design elements fits seamlessly with the overall look of the gift box.
