Main Idea:
The packaging design concept for Oreo's "Tet Story" is more than just a snack product. It also represents a reenactment of the special moments of the Tet holiday, with each panel on the packaging symbolizing a meaningful story. From images of Tet preparations such as wrapping bánh chưng and bánh tét, to the joy of family reunions, all are present on the packaging, creating a deep connection between consumers and the traditional culture of Vietnam.
Design Highlights:
- Each panel tells a story: Every small detail in the packaging design depicts a familiar scene from traditional Tet, such as wrapping bánh chưng and bánh tét, cleaning the house for the new year, watching fireworks, or the joy of family gatherings and receiving lucky money. Consumers can see themselves and their families in activities like preparing the house, shopping for Tet, cooking, welcoming the new year, and giving lucky money to children.
- Connecting generations: The phrase "Tet Story" represents not only current moments but also stories passed down from previous generations. Oreo is more than just a cookie; it serves as a bridge between the past and present, evoking beautiful memories during the holiday.
- Traditional Tet colors: The design features iconic colors such as red, yellow, and blue – symbols of luck and prosperity – combined with traditional patterns, creating a vibrant and lively overall look.
- Reusability: After the cookies are gone, the box can be reused as a premium Tet gift box or to store small items, offering long-lasting value.
- Interactive experience for consumers: The images on the packaging retell the story of traditional Tet, from wrapping bánh chưng, cleaning the house, to giving lucky money, creating an interactive experience between the product and the user. Each detail helps evoke and share memories of Tet, bonding families through traditional cultural stories. Oreo becomes a small story you can share with family and friends during the Tet holiday.
